Accusing people who disagree with your rather narrow religious views as having “hate and malice” for “God and Christ” does not win whatever argument, or prove whatever point you are trying to make. I am malicious? Am I supposed to be offended because some idiot fundy thinks I am malicious?

Well, quite frankly, I may be right, you may be right, we both may be wrong, who knows?! I’m sorry but I just can’t help offending religious nuts. It is amusing precisely because you take yourselves way too seriously! Quite frankly I am not worried about what your personal version of God has planned. If faced with Hell or an eternity with judgmental, pompous, sanctimonious zealots like yourself, I think I prefer the former. All that teach as you fit the description, “You serpents, you brood of vipers, how are you to escape being sentenced to hell?” Jesus’ words teach clearly that you are more than condemned even anathema(Gal. 1:8-9), so was I until I repented.

How very Christian of you Mr. Shifferd! I do not think that Jesus would look too kindly on threats or extortion. Scott, I actually just recieved a message from God. He said:

In all likelihood, Jesus was a Muslim (according to Islamic theology one need not be a “Mohammedan” to accept Islam, at least prior to the writing of the Koran). After all, Jesus (Isha) and many of the Hebrew prophets were Muslims according to the Islamic tradition. Personally, I suspect that Jesus may also have been a Buddhist, but that is unlikely. (Buddhism is not mutually exclusive with most religions, as Buddhism does not come with a particular deity or deities, but a Christian can not be a Buddhist as far as I know, some NT quote to that effect. I’m not sure if a Muslim can also be a Buddhist.)

Facts about Jesus:
1. Jesus Christ worshiped Allah. (Allah merely means “the God” in Arabic, derived from the Semitic root for god or deity.) Remember that Allah, the “God of Muhammad,” and Jehovah/Yahweh the “God of Abraham” and of Moses are the same entity. You can argue that Judaism or Christianity or Islam is the “wrong way to worship” God, but to suggest that Muslims worship a different deity altogether means that Jews and Christians worship a different gods. One could then argue that Catholics, Protestants, and Mormons worship different Gods. Or that Pentecostals, Anglicans, Free Will Baptists, and Evangelical Lutherans worship different deities…

2. Jesus was a prophet of Allah (Jehovah/Yahweh). Remember that “Islam” predates Muhammad. The term “Islam” is from the Arabic word for “submission.” One who submits to Allah. As such, whether or not Muhammad got it all right in the Koran, Jesus was Muslim by definition, and as much an Islamic prophet as a Christian one.

3. Jesus was a member of the “Arab race.” Sort of… In all likelihood, Jesus belonged to one of the Semitic tribes related to the Arabs of today. He spoke Aramaic, a Semitic language. Hebrews were related to the ancestors of today’s Arabs (Bedouins, Palmyrans, Philistines, Yemenites, Ishmaelites, etc.). So having an Arabic middle name (Hussein) is not too far fetched. (Yeh’shua Hussein bn Youssef?)

4. European Christian artwork depicts Jesus as a “white” man, often with blue, green, grey, or hazel eyes, and light skin and light brown hair. He tends to look German, French, British, or Celtic; or at most Greek or Italian, often shown in Greco-Roman attire. In fact, the real Jesus probably was a brown man with course dark hair and possibly “Armenoid” features. Living in the desert of Palestine, he would likely wear clothing suited for that setting, perhaps with a turban-like head cover. (A felt fez-type hat might be anachronistic, because I am pretty sure it was introduced into the Middle East by the Turks in Medieval times.) Modern American Christians would be surprised upon meeting Jesus, being greeted by an Arab-looking gentleman when they would expect a white European in a toga.

So consider, Mr. Shifferd, that Jesus was neither a Jew OR a Christian. He was a MUSLIM!

Christ’s perfection of the Law of Moses is essential to the fulfillment of the Law of Moses and the establishment of the better Law and Covenant of Christ thus putting away the Law of Moses from being binding. Jews today follow their own righteousness and they are condemned (Rom. 10:1-4, Gal.).

It is hard to believe that some people are so ignorant, but this is the same person who questioned Christ for condemning homosexuality. He and us all will be judged by Christ’s words (John 12:47-48). May God bless him with the mind and heart to repent.

She also spoke of “perfected Christians,” in the interview, meaning that Christians would also be wrong, according to your logic. It’s not a matter of right or wrong, sir. It’s a matter of perfection and non-perfection. No human (Jew, Christian, or otherwise) is perfect. Christians believe that in order to be perfected, we must come into contact with the sacrifice of Christ.

But nowhere did she actually say Jews were wrong or that they were going to Hell, she merely described Christianity as opposed to Judaism. She even said “we believe Jews go to Heaven.”

I’m not necessarily here to defend Coulter as a person or even as a Christian, per se. I’m here to point out that her statements in this specific interview were correct according to the Christian persepective. I do believe that she has been misquoted, defamed, and misinterpreted and this one interview has been blown out of proportion by people who already disdain her anyway.

If Ann Coulter is going to be attacked concerning something she has said or written, that’s fine. Americans have a right to do so. But this interview was not anti-Semitic as can be seen clearly from the transcript.

Her statements in the past on a variety of subjects are very inflammatory and divisive. In the book of Micah, God declares what he requires of man- “Do justly, love mercy and walk humbly before thy GOD.” Likewise, in the New Testament Jesus commands us to love GOD and our neighbor without qualification. Perhaps Miss Coulter walks that walk in her personal life and this public persona is just her meal ticket. I pray so.
